About MC


Hi I'm MC. I'm the #ladylawyer who created @ladylawyergang. I graduated from American University Washington College of Law in May 2019, passed the North Carolina Bar Exam in July 2019, and started my job as a small-town criminal defense attorney in August 2019. I currently live in Raleigh with my fiancé. We both graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Heels!), and we met a week before my graduation in 2016. Our wedding is set for January 2021 in Asheville, NC--the area where both of our families live and where we both grew up. As a young professional with some free time on her hands, I enjoy plants, yoga, running, hiking, movies, and music. 

Now about my career as a lawyer: I love the thrill of being a trial attorney. I love wearing a sharp suit and snappy heels when I walk into a courtroom. I also love using my degree and license to help people. I want to inspire all aspiring lady lawyers, lady law students, and other lady lawyers to be their fabulous selves and to slay in the courtroom everyday.

When I started @ladylawyergang on Instagram I wasn't exactly sure where it would go. I love fashion, especially professional fashion, and I wanted to help ladies aspiring to go to law school, in law school, or young lady lawyers like myself love professional fashion as well. The Story Behind "The Sustainability Collection Raleigh 2020"

Hi ladylawyergang! I'm so excited to share my first ever merch collection with y'all! This has been a labor of love for sure. The idea for the Collection started with sustainability. With all of my fashion decisions I try to make sustainable choices. So as I began thinking about creating merch I thought it would be cool to try and source all of my t-shirts from local thrift stores. I spent a weekend shopping around at Goodwill, Cause for Paws, Retails Thrift, etc., and was able to find ~43 shirts! They aren't your typical merch shirts, but each one is its own, quirky, unique self.  In addition to the shirts I wanted to sell something else like stickers, koozies, or totes. I thought I might be able to find some totes second-hand during my hunt for t-shirts, but wasn't so lucky.
